Wanted for EPub Books - benefits vs. iBook application questionable

So after reading many blogs, it seemed this was the way to go to move Calibre download magazines, books to the iPad from a PC.

The transfers were sort of OK, logging on to the iPad using the PC browser worked, not exactly convienient or well designed by OK. But then the issuse using the software started.
- The Economist newspaper badly distorted with graphics being repeated.. I had a picture of David Beckham on each page. Somepeople might like that.
- The interface is bad, the 3D page turning works sporadically and getting to the controls was ofter difficult.
- Index and navigation never worked, the links are displayed but do not work.

I have since discovered you can drag EPub books directly on the iPad and use iBook, lovely.
